​I attended the University of Northern Iowa and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Theatre Arts Education 5-12. Here I was part of many productions in the Department of Theatre and the Performance Studies.
I was awarded the Phyllis Carlin Rising Star Award of 2012 for my work in the Interpreters Theatre. I also graduated with the Purple and Old Gold Award for Conspicuous achievement in Performance Studies.
My teaching philosophy is meeting the needs of every student. I believe they all have the capability to learn and sometimes it takes a bit more effort to get them there but it is possible. I relate well with my students but I also make sure to keep a certain boundary between teacher and student.
